Nanowrimo 2011 - Day Fifteen He buckled where he stood and we drew our guns, searching the streets for the owner of the gun. There was another shot and Shea screamed, ducking as the lamp behind her exploded into glittering shards of glass. Gritting my teeth, my eyes darting around in their sockets, I raised my gun, my unsure hand shaking. I could see Locke out of the corner of my eye, pulling himself back toward the railing and readying his gun between the spokes. Nanowrimo 2011 - Day Fourteen . In an instant , we pulled our own and took aim. There was hesitation as they waited for their dictator to give an order, but in those few seconds of doubt, we had already started to decrease their numbers. Eventually they caught on and fired back. Nanowrimo 2011 - Day Thirteen I don't know how long we stayed there. It could have been as long as a month. All I know is that Locke started to heal and Shea and I were good as new. Cash still wasn't doing well. His leg was destroyed and the infection was making him sick. He ran fevers and stayed in bed most of the time with Eden and her crew looking after him.
